![]() BUSINESSES If you would like to make an in kind donation, there are many ways to do so. One item that the nurses have indicated would be good, are to have re-usable bags to leave with. These would allow the patients to put all of their comfort kit items, old clothes, etc. in a discreet bag, rather than the large hospital bags. These can be the bags your business distributes.
Please contact if you can help! (We currently have enough bags, but please contact to see how else your business may be able to help this project and those affected by violence.) ![]() Please note: NONE of the items on the list have to be the specific item. We have tried to go with the most cost effective choices. We are building comfort kits for women, young men, and in the future for children. All sizes are required. We hope to provide at least 50 kits to URVH and 75 to DECH to start. This is an ongoing project. All items will be gifted to people based on the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners assessment for need. Some people will need more help than others and the kits will be distributed accordingly. Some people leave their residence with nothing, others will return home or go to a shelter. The reality is, they need help, new basic coloured clothing that fits, allows them dignity upon leaving the hospital, but many people will not keep the clothing due to the memories. We go to clearance racks, buy black, white, grey, etc., no big patterns or themes. Financial donations can be sent to the [email protected] project via e transfer. Thank you for any and all items. This is greatly appreciated! On behalf of the people affected and the nursing staff, thank you!
